Nonprofit Billboard Spotlight

The #UpTheGood Foundation is about more than just promoting resiliency. It’s also about building long lasting relationships with local nonprofit organizations that have a pulse on the issues impacting our communities. Many of these organizations lack the resources to promote themselves or their missions. That’s why REV is stepping up to feature two nonprofit partners each month with dedicated Digital Billboards in North Carolina and South Carolina. Each month, our billboards will refresh to feature new partners who we are working alongside to create positive outcomes.

Canines for Service (North Carolina)

CFS, the longest-running, internationally accredited service dog provider in North Carolina, focuses on training and matching dogs with veterans with service-connected PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, mobility limitations, and military sexual trauma. Each year, CFS trains approximately ten dogs at an average cost of $32,000 per dog. These trained dogs are then placed with veterans nationwide at no charge and without any fundraising obligations. Additionally, CFS conducts dog training programs at the MCI-East Regional Brig at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and the Naval Consolidated Brig – Naval Weapons Station in Charleston, South Carolina. To date, CFS has successfully placed over 100 service dogs throughout the country, with more than half being exclusively placed with veterans.

My Preemie & Yours (South Carolina)

My Preemie & Yours is a nonprofit organization founded in 2022 by Megan Satterfield, who experienced firsthand the emotional and financial strain of having her newborn spend nearly 4 months in the Neonatal ICU. Approximately 1,000 families out of the 2,700 newborns delivered each year at MUSC find themselves in a similar situation. With initiatives such as Newborn Photography Sessions and the Preemie Pop Up Shop, My Preemie & Yours creates a community of support for families during their NICU stay. By taking care of some of the practicalities, My Preemie & Yours empowers parents to focus on being present for their little ones and connecting with fellow families experiencing similar struggles.

Impact in Action

It’s not just a hashtag, it’s true impact.

With a strong emphasis on volunteerism, financial support, and in-kind donations, REV is actively working to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those around us.
